Pricing
Priced From Your Numbers, Not a Package
We do not publish tiers, because a pre-revenue startup and a multi-entity business do not need the same work and should not pay the same price. Your fee is built from your actual volume, entity structure and services, then fixed before any work begins.
Build your scope
See what your engagement looks like
Answer four questions and this assembles the exact scope we would quote against. There is no price at the end because an honest one needs a look at your books first, but it takes the guesswork out of the first call.
What kind of entity are you?
Roughly how many transactions a month?
Which services do you need?
Where do your books stand today?
What drives your price
Four things determine what you pay
Nothing hidden, and nothing that changes after you have signed.
Transaction volume
How many bank, card and merchant transactions run through your accounts each month. This is usually the single biggest factor, and it is the one that moves as you grow.
Entity and complexity
Your entity type, how many entities you run, the currencies involved, the states you file in, and whether you need consolidated reporting across the group.
Services included
Bookkeeping alone, or bookkeeping plus accounting, tax, payroll or CFO support. Taking more than one is usually cheaper than sourcing each separately, because the work is not duplicated.
The state of your books
Whether we start clean or clear a backlog first. Catch-up work is priced as a one-time project, separately from the monthly fee, so it never hides inside your ongoing cost.
The honest comparison
The real alternative is hiring someone
For most growing businesses the choice is not us versus another bookkeeper. It is us versus a finance hire, and that is the number worth comparing against.
| An in-house hire | With Profitjets | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Salary, benefits, payroll taxes, equipment and software licences | One flat monthly fee, quoted up front and fixed |
| Time to start | Recruit, notice period, then onboarding and training | A team already trained, live in weeks |
| Coverage | One person, so holiday, sickness and turnover leave gaps | A team, so cover is continuous with nothing to manage |
| Range of skills | One skill level, whatever you could afford to hire | Bookkeeper, accountant, tax and CFO expertise on the same account |
| Software | You buy, configure and maintain the stack | We work inside the stack you already use |
| Scaling | Capacity is fixed whether volume is high or low | Scope moves with your volume, discussed before it changes |
| If it does not work | A difficult conversation and a rehire | A scope conversation, and your records stay intact |
Included as standard
What every engagement includes
Whichever services you take, these are not add-ons.
A dedicated team

Your existing software
QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Zoho or whatever you use. No forced migration.
Monthly financials
Statements on a consistent schedule rather than produced on request.
Tax-ready records
Books kept current year-round, so filing is a review not a reconstruction.

Questions
Pricing questions, answered
It depends on your transaction volume and the services you need. Most clients get a flat monthly fee quoted after a short call reviewing their accounts, entity type and current books, so the figure reflects the actual business rather than an average.
Published tiers only work if every business in a tier needs the same work, and they do not. A tier either overcharges the simple engagements or under-scopes the complex ones. Quoting from your real numbers is slower by one call and fairer afterwards.
No. We quote a flat monthly fee so your cost is predictable. Catch-up work is quoted separately as a one-time project rather than billed by the hour.
It depends on how many months are behind and how complete the existing records are. We review the backlog first, then quote a fixed price to bring everything current.
Yes, and most clients do. Because every service runs off the same set of books, adding tax, payroll or CFO support later does not mean rebuilding anything.
If your volume or scope changes materially we will discuss an adjustment before it takes effect. You will not find a changed figure on an invoice without a conversation first.
We cover contract terms and any one-time onboarding cost on your consultation call, so there is nothing to discover later.
